Bluesfest Review: Headstones Rock

Earlier in the evening, the Headstones put the cherry on top of their ongoing comeback with an intense rock ‘n’ roll blowout on the main stage.

The Kingston-bred, Toronto-based band wasted no time in delivering the kind of loud and in-your-face but melodic brand of hard rock that’s been a favourite with Ottawa audiences for more than 20 years.

Diving into it with guitars blazing, drums crashing and frontman Hugh Dillon chomping at the mic, they tore off hard-rocking tracks like Binthiswayforyears, Something Stands for Nothing and Tweeter and the Monkey Man early in the set…
